Cruise to Baie du Prony

Due to initial adverse weather forecasts the cruise to Ille de Pins was cancelled and the Sail Noumea Rally participants travelled south down the coast of New Caledonia to Baie du Prony (Prony Bay) which is a significant bay with many protected anchorages for all wind directions.

The CNC yacht Club hosts Gilles Brou, on a Hanse, Friandise ensured we had the best of local information organising beach BBQ's and walks to local areas of interest including an old penal settlement which is now the site of the holiday village of Prony.
